Job Duties :
• Design and implement databases based on end-user requirements.
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
• Refine physical design to meet system s storage requirements.
• Install and test new versions of the database management system (DBMS).
• Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act.

• Develop database documentation, including data policies, procedures and standards.
• Control access permissions and privileges of end-users.
• Ensure that storage and archive procedures are function correctly and carry out capacity planning.
• Liaison regularly with technical, applications and operational departments to ensure database integrity and security.
• Manage databases security, disaster recovery and troubleshooting aspects.

Qualifications and requirements :

• At least six years of work experience in similar role.
• Computer science degree (BSc) or equivalent.
• Experience in SQL Server DBA handling versions 2008 R2 2016.ITIL is a must.
• Strong scripting skills for the development of an automated process
• Experience with infrastructure components including the operating system, storage, network, hardware, virtual machines.

• Advanced knowledge of database reporting and analytical tools
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English.
