Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Adhering to courses outlines, syllabi. Writing lesson plans, when requested.
• Delivering clear instructions to maximize student development and retention, employing a variety of teaching and development strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Contributing to center, course and program meetings and participating in initiatives to monitor and enhance student success.
• Demonstrating a command of educational best practices within the discipline.
• Learning, using and recommending educational technologies and resources to enhance learning experiences for students.
• Preparing high-quality speaking materials for conversation courses if requested.
• Providing substitution for colleagues in case of absence to ensure that there is no interruption in student learning.

Job Requirements and Qualifications :

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Education (e.g. Post-secondary Education, Adult Education or Vocational Education).
• 5 years teaching experience in a postsecondary educational institution where students first language is not English.
• Experience in curriculum development and student assessment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certificate/ Diploma from ESL/ EFL training organizations, e.g., CELTA, PCELT, FELT, TESL, TESOL.
• 2 years of teaching experience to adults
• High standard of professional integrity and commitment to academic excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are essential along with technical writing and document production skills to ensure presentations and documentation meet high quality assurance standards.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.
